What is work place diversity?
Diversity in the workplace relates to the acceptance and inclusion of employees of all backgrounds
What are inclusive environments?
- An inclusive environment requires mutual respect and effective relationships
- Within an inclusive environment people of all cultural backgrounds can freely express who they are and their own opinions
What are some advantages of a diverse team?
- Increased productivity: A diversity of talent will result in a broader range of skills amongst the team
- Increased creativity: Differing backgrounds and perspectives will promote new ways of solving workplace problems
- It will create a more attractive place to work for future talent
What do you know about the Equality Act 2010?
The Act is a law which prevents discrimination against a number of protected characteristics
