How do you promote inclusivity?
Inclusion is a culture where employees all feel like they belong, are able to be themselves and can contribute. Do this by encouraging regular contact with me and others in their team, by making regular contact and by encouraging involvement in cluster and training calls.
What is workplace diversity?
Workplace diversity relates to acceptance and inclusion of employees of all backgrounds.
Why is diversity important?
Ensuring diversity important for organisation as acknowledges individual strengths of each employee and their potential
Increases productivity as a broader range of skills available
Increased creativity as differing skill sets/perspectives increase chance of generating solutions to problems
Improved cultural awareness
Positive reputation and attract like minded people.
What is RICS inclusive employer Quality Mark?
The Inclusive Employer Quality Mark aims to drive behaviour change by encouraging all organisations, large and small, to look carefully at their employment practices and have inclusivity at the heart of what they do.
What 4 principles are the IEQM based on?
Leadership - demonstrable commitment at the highest level to increasing the diversity of the workforce
Recruitment - engage and attract new people to the industry from under-represented groups; best practice recruitment methods
Culture - an inclusive culture where all staff engage with developing, delivering, monitoring and assessing diversity and inclusivity
