Operational Control

A

all flights conducted are under the authority of Dispatch. They exercise direct authority and responsibility to monitor progress of each flight under Flag and Domestic ops. Dispatchers exercise responsibility with the PIC in the operational control of a flight.

A

Dispatchers may not release a flight under IFR or night VFR conditions when weather reports indicate thunderstorms/other hazardous wx conditions detectable by radar, may be expected along the route if the radar is inop

What is FMC reserve?

A

The fuel required to fly to the alternate and thereafter for 45 minutes holding at 1500 AGL. The FMC will generate a scratchpad message when estimated fuel at final destination airport falls below FMC reserve value.
