The displays source panel (overhead panel_ contains source controls for the displays electronic units and EFIS control panels. How many DEUs?
Two DEUs receive data from sensors and airplane systems an supply data to the DUs. In NORMAL, the DEU 1 will supply data to CA PFD and the DEU 2 will supply data to the FO PFD
If a DEU fails, what will the remaining DEU do automatically?
provide DATA to all six displays (DSPLY SOURCE annunciation will illuminate on PFDs)
What will happen if an outboard display unit fails?
The PFD will automatically be displayed on the IB display unit
What happens if an inboard DU fails?
the PFD format remains displayed on the OB display unit
What happens if upper DU fails?
It blanks and primary engine displays will move to the lower DU
What do the Air Data Internal Reference Systems provide?
they produce flight data such as position, speed, altitude, and attitude for flight displays, FMC, flight controls, engine controls
FMC position updates from navigation sensor positions in the following order:
- GPS
- two or more DME stations
- one VOR with a collocated DME
- one localizer and collocated DME
- one localizer

off- prevents emergency lights system ops if airplane electrical power fails/is turned off
ARMED: all emergency lights illuminate if airplane electrical power to DC NO. 1 or AC power is turned off
On: all emergency lights on
ELT light (amber)
ELT has been activated and is transmitting
PASS OXYGEN switch (normal, on)
normal: pax masks drop and oxygen system activated if cabin altitude climbs to 14000 feet (14650 in 5227A)
on: activates system and drops masks if auto function fails
passenger oxygen on light (amber)
pax o2 system operating and masks drop
