• lack of media coverage—— less role models—— no awareness about disabled people in sport which could make them retire or not even start to participate in sport. More media coverage eg playing Paralympic in sky sports which could increase awareness and participation in sport in disabled athletes. However still not many people would watch it bc not much entertaining leading to less awareness.
• lack of opportunities such as clubs teams for disabled athletes——— decreased participation and if there is club it could be difficult to get access to and therefore discouraging for disabled people. Also lack of income to afford special transport to get into facilities———- create more clubs teams for disabled people, increase participation. However, there could be lack of funding for specialist equipment for many participants to take part in and therefore decreased participation as only some can take part in.
• Lack of specialist coaches——-decreased participation, as disabled can’t participate in many clubs due to unqualified coaches in disability field——— provide trainings at universities to train future coaches on disability field and their needs. However, only some universities will provide trainings on disability fields and therefore not many coaches will be trained to work with disabled people
