A
- Central executive- selects which info needs to go to which system eg. may ignore the sound of the crowd and send sound of coach giving instructions to phonological loop
- Phonological loop- deals with the sound eg. Call from a team member
- Visuospatial sketchpad- stores visual and spatial info eg the position of the team player on court
- Episodic buffer- sends sequences of info from phonological loop and visuospatial sketchpad to long term memory eg. Gathers all the info and perform the pass
AO3:
- only relevant info will be distributed to central executive and this prevents information overload
- phonological loop, visuospatial sketchpad and episodic buffer work togh to help performer make the most appropriate movement eg who to pass or what type of pass to use
- The more experienced the performer is the more effective movement and decision
- Episodic buffer sends info to long term memory to help performer create the pass they desire to make
- Performer needs to have well learned motor program for the pass to be continuously done well
