What is the Krebs Cycle?

A

In the mitochondria, acetyl groups are broken down, and a small amount of ATP is formed.

What is the electron transport chain?

A

Electrons attached to NAD and FAD are sent thru a series of chemical reactions in the mitochondria. Bonds are broken, and energy is released to form ATP. Water and heat are also created.
