Focus on the environmental demands, that leads to an appraisal of the stress
If perceived as stress, it can lead to negative emotions, poor health behaviors
That leads to risk of health threats, physical and mental

- High and low levels of demand and control(perceived control), strong or weak support

- Focus on the interaction between stress and vulnerability
- Its sensitive to time
- Its additive, builds up
- The threshold is higher up at first but gets lower with time

- X-axe vulnerability, indivudal differences to how one react
What is the Lazarus transactional model of stress?
Its about the individuals ability to perceive and cope with stress

- Perceived control and show the influence of psychological factors when dealing with stress

- A change of thinking and emotion to the situation
