- blood glucose >11.1 mmol/L non-fasting state
- blood glucose >7.0 mmol/L fasting state
below these values is good!

How is diabetes T2 treated?
A
T2 diabetes: focus is on prevention of macrovascular problems: cholesterol lowering meds, lowering blood pressure, lifestyle, stop smoking.. Diabetes itself is better to treat

T1 diabetes develops early in life. When is the second wave?
A
Second wave 40-45 years old. After 50 years, quite rare.

When lifestyle interventions are not enough, medications can be given to T2 diabetes patients:
- Start metformin and losartan
- Medication for blood pressure
- Medication (Atorvastatin)
