What is meant by the ‘first’ world?
Europeans
What is meant by the second world?
Wealthy regions colonized by Europe such as North America and Australia
What is meant by the third world?
Poor countries
What is the north and south region?
South is the poor side while the north is the rich side
Why are abbreviations such as LDC and MDC not accepted to be used to evaluate wealth of counties?
Because LDC and MDC only evaluates wealth in the country’s economy, but some countries are poor economically but rich culturally
What is the five fold division?

What is used to measure development?
GNI - gross national income (wealth)
GNP - gross national product (wealth without taxes)
INFANT MORTALITY - the number of babies died per 1000 live births
