Psoriasis

A

+ FHx, HLA inheritance likely
Non pruritic, papulosquamous, erythematous coalescing dry plaques with sharp boarders and silvery scale
Bleed when removed - Auspitz sign
Symmetric extensor surfaces
Can affect the nails, psoriatic arthritis
Topical steroids, vitamin d, uv light tx, biological agents also

A

Strawberry hemangioma in children
Grow after birth and usually involute after a year
Benign, but placement and size can be concerning

A

Papules, vesicles, and pustules with erythematous base on the trunk (also face and extremities)
Sheets of Eos on histo
Resolves in 3-5 days without treatment

Seborrheic Dermatitis
(don't confuse with Seborrheic Keratosis)
A

People of all ages
Erythematous, dry, scaling crusty lesions in areas with rich sebaceous glands - face, scalp, perineum, intertriginous areas

Cradle cap in children - baby oil, antidandruff/baby shampoo, antifungals, moisturizers
