Hidradenitis suppurativa
What is a superficial bacterial skin infection involving local lymphatics. It features a tender intensely erythematous indurated plaque with sharply demarcated borders. It itches and is painful.
Where is it classically found?
Erysipelas.
Face and legs–Raised and heaped up edge and indurated.
What is this rash that has an abrupt onset painful macular well-defined margins typically on the face?
Erysipelas caused by streptococcus. It will desquamate in 5-10 days.
What does this describe: well demarcated circular bald patch with exclamation point hairs?
Alopecia areata
Treat with topical steroids.

HSV
