1-all police business affecting command,any member of command or activities of any command member within command
2-receipt of telephone and electronic messages any necessary action therein.
3-trans. Of all orders or instructions from competent authority about command,any dept. member attached or residing within command.
4-inspection and recording of all supplies delivered. Quantity/quality.
5-bring to CO’s attention ,members for examination(unfit ),all matters of importance,messages/conditions requiring his attention.notify CO exceptional acts /deeds of merit or any other message requiring isn’t his attention .
6-Property entry in authorized books/forms of all cases occurring during tours of duty. Filling of them and verifying serial numbers on them.
7-Assign Supervisor for serious crimes that could have been prevented if PO was on post , to determine neglect by PO in preventing or discovering crime.
8-Refer to DD, w/o delay, arrest FOA . DD will assume charge and cooperate with jurisdiction.
9-Review each patrol supervisor memo book at end of their tour , sign date ,time and signature .
10- if CTS DO, oversee arrests ,supervise members, determine charges with A/O , appearance tickets , processing ulnar rest situations.

Rule2-DO will sign on/off in time record. Not to leave post unless personal necessity,meal,official duty in building or urgent police business.

1-enforcement of all laws and ordinances especially, public morals/vice/gambling/intoxicating liquors/narc. Charged with proper condition/maintenance of departmental equip., traffic controls equip., street lights ,public highways, curb and sidewalk conditions within command he is assigned. Will report to DO or SO any condition requiring attention and he will provide safeguards when necessary.

Assist and instruct members in discharge of their duties ,perform duties assigned by competent authority and shall remain in territory unless required to leave for police or personal necessity.

Visit all members on duty in the territory subject to his supervision.Members who did not personally report to their command shall be inspected, soon as practicable, for proper uniform,personal hygiene , equipment. He shall inform members of important matters on their post and shall report all matters which require the attention of the DO or SO.

Communicate with their commands, unless directed otherwise by CA, at least once every two hours from 2300-0700.unless directed, rings do not have to be made at other times. Rings can be made by phone or MDT. MDT rings shall be aknowledged

• During an emergency, keep DO informed.
• inspect at least once a tour, memo books of MOD on duty for accurate record of duty and necessary info
• Visit all booths at least once a tour. He is responsible for cleanliness, proper equipment and to make sure they are properly lighted at night and that lights are extinguished in the day.
• visit at least once a tour members assigned to special posts, hospitals,court on their post.
• inspect department vehicles and equipment for serviceability and cleanliness. Take appropriate action to correct them.
• At end of tour, submitt memo book to DO.
• Prepare weekly supervisory activity reports PDCN 54 to CO.

Proper supervision and safe, efficient, economical use of personnel, equipment, vehicles, vessels aircraft. Dept. animals shall be used for NCPD functions and not for personal or private use.

• notify CO/DO.
• if DWI provisions of law shall be complied with. Breathalyzer test shall be given by tech who is superior rank to member or otherwise supervised by a superior officer.Police surgeon shall be notified and results made available to him.in a case where breath test reads non conclusive but actions suggest further exam, urine analysis or other appropriate scientific test may be utilized at direction of police surgeon and or ranking superior officer present.
• if MOD is intox but not driving, article 7 ,rule 5 shall be complied with.
• conditions involving instability or where emergency treatment is needed ,police surgeon shall be informed and respond to location to conduct required exams.
