–requesting assistance
–disseminating info about hazard or crime
–car stops
–susp circumstances
(Using cell, texts, emails may impact officer safety)
3) renders AID
4) notes condition of aided, how transported, which hosp
5) if aided victim of crime
–advise victim need for release of medical records and consent &
req victim to sign NYS office of Court Administration form 960, authorization of release of health info
6)if Vic refuses enter refuse on signature line and and forward to squad
7) identify-control-separates Vic’s, witnesses, and potential offenders
8) note any STATEMENTS made by victim, witnesses, or subjects
9) establish CRIME SCENE
10) req PATROL SUP for unusual circumstances or when IMMEDIATE Det response needed
11) conducts INTERVIEWS
12) determines RCTB that
–crime committed
–petty off in his presence
13) if no RCTB consider notification for “police info only”
14) if yes RCTB arrest offender
15) offender not at scene
– transmit an arrest notification
–search area
–respond to known location of offender
16) notify DO for
–referral to DD if offender not located or Det response needed or unusual/susp incidents
17) ID and determine value of property involved
18) canvass

20) ID solvability factors
21) brief Det, provide completed statements, assist in invest
22) determines if case report is needed
