What are the risk factors associated with peripheral caries ?
A
Diet (carbohydrate), management, water source (acidic water), breed (Thoroughbreds), saliva flow and composition, and concurrent dental disease (interdental feed accumulation and periodontal disease)
If the inciting cause is removed, recovery is still possible
