A

Animals habitats and plants are destroyed meaning that many organisms are lost and are replaced by a single species such as corn- reducing biodiversity in the area

How does deforestation increase carbon dioxide levels?

A

Vegetation left behind decays. Plants no longer photosynthesize. Carbon sinks are lost because the wood is either burned or decays

A

The increased growing of rice due to more food demand, and the increase of cattle due to increased food demand

How do peat bogs contribute to pollution?

A

Peat bogs are massive carbon stores but are used as fuels and by graders to improve the soil. When used carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere and the carbon store is lost. They are being destroyed faster then they are being made.
