What are advantages of ethanol fuels?
A
Using ethanol as a fuel is known as a carbon neutral process. It does not produce toxic gases when burnt. Can be mixed with petrol to produce gasohol which reduces pollution considerably.

Sugar cane is fermented anaerobically with yeast. The products are ethanol and carbon dioxide. Ethanol is extracted via distillation

What are disadvantages of ethanol fuel?

It takes a lot of plant material to grow ethanol And therefor a lot of land. This land could be used to grow food on.
