What is type 1 diabetes?
A
When your pancreas cannot create insulin. This bad because insulin allows cells to absorb sugars. Therefor you lack energy and feel tired. You break down fat and muscle instead and lose weight.

What happens when when your blood sugar levels rise after a meal?
A
Insulin is released from the pancreas. Allows glucose to move into cells . Turns glucose into glycogen and is stored in the liver.

What happens when your blood sugar levels fall below ideal range?
A
The pancreas secretes glucagon which breaks down glycogen in the liver

How can you treat type 2 diabetes?
A
Eating a balanced diet. Losing weight. Doing regular exercise.

A
Pancreas transplant, however not enough donors.
