Define propaganda
Persuasive communication which influences beliefs, opinions and emotions.
Is deliberately used to influence people.

Define democracy
A form of government in which there is an elected government/ people can vote for their government
Define dictatorship
A form of government in which one person has total control
Define totalitarianism
A form of government in which there is one party and one leader who has complete control. There is no freedom of the individual.
Define fascism (fascist)
A political theory that the government should have complete control. In fascist states, the political party serves its own needs as is not concerned with citizen’s rights.
Define antisemitism
An extreme dislike or hatred of jews
Define genocide
A deliberate attempt to kill a national, race or religious group
Define ghetto
A poor area in a city where Jewish people were forced to live
Define holocaust
Any large scale killing and destruction, especially by fire. This term refers to the persecution and mass murder of the jews by the nazis between 1933 and 1945
Define concentration camp
Special war-time camps where opponents or political prisoners were held first used by the British during the south african war. (1899-1902) to imprison boer and black women and children
Define putsch
A forceful overthrowing of the government
