How do you activate the DDU?
By opening the BVICS

Headboard and internal displays will go to default mode:
“Metro”
How do you reset the DDU if it returns to default mode?
Re-enter TDN when BVICS is next closed
What status does the train need to be in for DDU to work?
One Pantograph
One MA
BVICS open
What purpose does entering the TDN serve?
POTS - Position of Train System
PIDS
CCTV recorder
How do you enter a TDN?
Push the TDN button
Scroll up or down to select numbers
Select ACCEPT after each number
Select week day and ACCEPT
What does the MODE Function do?
Allows you to disable Auto Announcements
Push MODE, select DISABLE audio function
What does CCTV Function do?
Allows driver to view CCTV while train is stationary
Screen returns to default when train speed exceeds 8kmh
CCTV operates automatically. Vision is dubbed over every 7 days
What does the SPECIAL Function do?
Allows driver to enter a series of Special Messages
What does the STATUS Function do?
Tests the PEI system
Tests the internal speakers and PIDS
What does the DIMMING Function do?
Adjusts display screen brightness
How do the Internal LED Matrix Signs (PIDS) work?
Station information is updated from data received from GPS system on top of train
