What are the benefits of victim surveys
Allows researchers to understand the relationship between certain crimes and what ethnicity the person was commuting the crime
Ex. From victimismo surveys it’s clear to see that crimes of “mugging” are more likely to be prepretated by someone black
What are the negatives of victim surveys
Philip and bowlleing argue that due to the surveys being from memory white victims may say the perpetrator was black when they can’t remember
