OBDURATE
Synonyms: stubborn, mulish, obstinate
stubborn, resistant to persuasion
Example: Amair was obdurate on the issue, and no amount of persuasion would change her mind.
OBSEQUIOUS
Synonyms: bootlicking, servile, slavish, menial, deferential
overly submissive and eager to please
Example: The director did not select him for manager position as his obsequious nature is more apparent.
OCCLUDE
Synonyms: obstruct, block, clog, constrict, strangulate
to stop up, to prevent the passage of
Example: Waste materials seem to be occluding the drain.
OFFICIOUS
Synonyms: obstrusive, interfering, poking nose, pompous
being annoyingly eager to do more than is required
Example: It’s hard to be an office manager without being officious.
ONEROUS
Synonyms: arduous, oppressive, exhausting, distressing
burdensome
Example: Holding down two jobs can be an onerous task.
OPPROBRIUM
Synonyms: vilification, abuse, vituperation, condemnation, criticism, censure, denunciation, defamation, denigration, castigation, disparagement
state of disgrace resulting from public abuse
A very inappropriate act leads to opprobrium for the person who did the act.
Example: In the aftermath, he became used to public opprobrium.

Example: The test taker became quiescent when he got less score on his test.
