What is validity?

A
  • When results obtained are a true reflection of what you are actually trying to measure.
  • To assess the validity of a fitness test, the following questions are important:

What is reliability?

A
  • When a test produces results that are consistent and can be repeated with the same outcome
  • To ensure the test is reliable the following considerations need to be taken into account:
    …tester should be experienced
    …equipments should be standardised
