Ix of choice

find out if dexamethasone suppresses normal morning spike of cortisol
low dose dexamethasone suppresion test - low cortisol
normal
low dose dexamethasone suppresion test - high/normal cortisol

low ACTH = Adrenal cushing’s

Treatment
remove underlying cause
blood gas result
hypokalaemic metabolic alkalosis
