An accumulation of fluid in sub-retinal space -> localised detachment of sensory retina at macula.

What are the symptoms for a px with CSCR?

A
  • Unilateral blurred vision, recent onset
  • Positive scotoma
  • Metamorphopsia
  • Micropsia
  • Painless
  • Affects: Males 30-50, Type A personality, Steroid users.

What are the signs of CSCR?

A
  • Round oval dome shaped retinal elevation at macula
  • VA 6/9-6/18
  • Hyperopic shift
  • No blood or exudates (differentiate from CNV)

A

URGENT Referral
Monitor Recovery
Address stress, steroid use etc.
