- Qisas –> crimes against indiivuals or families where vicitm or victim family able to choose punishment
- ta zir –> crimes for which punishmnet not stated in quran or hadith so punishment is left up to a qadi

- socalization –> difficulties in confomring to society’s norms, becaue of poor parenting or a trouble family life.
- labelling theory –> predjudice against people from particular social or racial backgorunds
- lack of opportunity –> lack of suitable job opportunities
- subculture –> poeer groups that apporve of delinguqent bahviour due toa dislike for rules and dsirepsect for authoirty

no god therefore no divine exaplantion for the universe we have ti make sense of suffering oursleevs. muslisms disagree and say that people should make use of their minds ad=nd relaize that there is a greater power in the universe, god anf that god can help them explain the existence of suffering,
lfie is a steuggle which in the human community needs to try to overcome but muslims believe that suffering can ahve apostivie sidel it can teach resilience anf provide people with opportunities to perform good actions
