- goes against god command to be “Fruitful and increase in number”
- natural methods are acceptable if wanting to control amount of children

- approved the use of artificial contraception
- do not encourage promiscous behaviour
- they accept contraception that is like the condom or contraceptive pill but oppose methods that work after contraception as seen as abortion.

- many argue that deciding whether or not use contraception is a personal choice, does not cause harm to those involved.
