- Sensation: touch/pain 3 sections on face
- Motor: muscles of mastication

Motor: facial muscles (test by closing eyes, smile with teeth, puff cheeks.
Sensation: ant 1/3 tongue

Test with hearing tests.

Glossopharyngeal (BOTH)
Sensation: taste post. tongue
Motor: muscles of pharynx, swallow test/gag reflex

- Sensory: tongue, epiglottis, pharynx, larynx, bronchi
- Motor: muscles of palate, pharynx, larynx, thoracic and abdominal viscera
Say AHHH, ability to swallow, gag reflex

- sternocleidomastoid and trapezius muscle, Test with shoulder shrug

- tongue protrusion, if injured, tongue deviates toward injured side.
