Define impairment
Any loss or abnormality of psychological, physiological or anatomical structure or function.
Eg intellectual, visual, hearing, memory, skeletal etc
Define disability
Any restriction or lack of ability (resulting from an impairment) to perform an activity in the manner or within the range of what is considered normal for a human being.
Define handicap
A disadvantage for a given individual, resulting from an impairment or disability, that limits or prevents the performance of a role that is normal for that individual (age, sex, social, cultural)
