• This shows that as one variable increases, the other increases.

• This shows that as one variable increases, the other decreases.

• There is no pattern to points.
• This shows that they’re is no correlation between the two variables.

• Useful when an experiment would be unethical or impractical.
• May suggest the need to follow up with an experiment.

• Lack of causation. No control over variables, can’t say on co-variable causes the other.
