What are Chemoreceptors
A
They are sensors that detect changes in the levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood and changes in pH levels. It sends a message to the medulla oblongata which changes breathing rate

A
They are located in the middle of the brain. Its responsible for involuntary functions. It is the respiratory centre of the brain.
