What is contraceptive patch?
A
Contains oestrogen and progesterone (same daily dose as COCP)

What is the course for taking the patch?
A
- Apply patch on first day of period
- Change every week for three weeks
- Miss week 4 for withdrawal bleed

What advise is given if changing patch is delayed?
A
IF <48h delay
-Apply patch asap and no need for further protection
IF >48h delay
- Apply patch ASAP
- Additional barrier contraception for 7 days
- If sex w/i previous 5 days = emergency contraception
