Voice of my father? Most of his humor had a “lived life” quality to it. Most of it had a “warm” ironic/cynical twist to it.
More than just funny - there is something else too - human nature - trying to make sense of the world - philosopher comic - observation about life

I don’t laugh at just any old joke (ha)
Insight - these jokes are great but they need updating and customization before I can actually use them - Howard, we have a lot of work ahead of us - why did I not think of this before?
I make no apologies - I like these jokes - this is the opposite perspective from my discriminating taste observation
