Paik is known for video art, uses neon lights to create borders of states and puts TVs with videos that represent each state. Alaska and Hawaii on sidewall. Neon lights were around more on motel signs and on everywhere so when traveling there were lots of lights, represents motel signs and shows interest in maps. Obesity rate is high in Polynesia after introduction of canned food. pea soup one of first, where name comes from. People used to be hunters and gatherers so less having together food means more weight. Making comment on health and saying we are no longer getting meat from real cow so he makes a cow from canned food. Canned beef given as gift because it is so ingrained in the culture
