How to complain?
• when should you complain?
• how to complain in person? (5 points)
• if buy something and then discover a problem with it.
- as soon as problem is discovered to back to seller with proof of purchase
- ask to see manager (firm but polite)
- explain complaint clearly
- if manager is unhelpful, contacts head office
- at last resort get help from consumer agencies
How to complain on the phone

- stand up rather than sit down. Improves confidence
- ask for customer service manager
- ask for name and title of person your are speaking too
- record date and time of your call
- explain the problem
- if you hear nothing back from company, write a letter
