What is the definition of health in the context of health and fitness?
Health is defined as a state of wellbeing, encompassing three key areas: physical, mental & social.
What is the definition of physical health?

What is the definition of mental health?
Having a positive mental state and coping with stress effectively.
What is the definition of social health?
Maintaining healthy relationships and engaging in meaningful interactions.
What is the definition of fitness?
Fitness is the ability to meet the demands of an environment. This can include physical tasks, sports performance, or daily activities.
Explain the relationship between health and fitness.
Good fitness levels can improve physical health by reducing the risk of disease. A healthy mental and social state can motivate individuals to maintain fitness. However, fitness does not guarantee health; for example, an athlete may be fit but have mental health challenges.
What are the five components of health-related fitness?
Body composition, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, muscular endurance, muscular strength.
What is body composition?
The ratio of fat, muscle, bone, and other body tissues.
What is cardiovascular endurance?
The ability to sustain physical activity for long periods.
What is flexibility?
The range of motion in joints and the ability to move freely.
What is muscular endurance?
The ability of muscles to perform repetitive actions without fatigue.
What is muscular strength?
The ability to exert force against resistance.
What is the importance of cardiovascular endurance in fitness activities?
Cardiovascular endurance allows individuals to perform sustained physical activities at higher intensities, such as running or swimming, improving performance and delaying fatigue.
