What would cause the SEL indicator to illuminate an RMP?
The SEL indicator comes on amber when a transceiver normally associated with
one RMP is tuned by another.
How do you tune and transmit on the communication radios?
Any of the Radio Management Panels (RMPs) can be used to tune each transceiver. To transmit, the Flight Crew uses the Audio Control Panel (ACP) to select a VHF or HF system.
Which RMP is powered in the Emergency Electrical Configuration?
Only RMP1
functions in EMER ELEC CONFIG.

What methods could the crew utilize to make a PA announcement?
The passenger address system allows crewmembers to make announcements to passengers
in the cabin through loudspeakers. It can be operated from the Flight Deck (with ACP or
handset) or from the Flight Attendant stations.
What does the illumination of the CALL light on the VHF transmission keys indicate?
The indication flashes amber (and buzzer sounds) when the SELCAL system detects a call.
What happens if you press the EVAC COMMAND button?
When ON, the EVAC light flashes red. The EVAC lights at the FWD and AFT attendant panels also flash and the evacuation tone sounds.
When is the CVR energized automatically?
The CVR is energized automatically under the following conditions:
• on the ground during the first 5 minutes after the aircraft electrical network is energized
• on the ground with one engine running
• in flight

In the cabin, the “EMERGENCY CALL” message will appear on all AIPs or on the AIP of the
originating station, based on its customization.
What is the AUDIO SWITCHING PANEL used for?
The AUDIO SWITCHING selector allows the crew to switch to the third ACP if ACP1 or ACP2
fails.
