What is the Transmission view of Communication
-Communication is a process whereby messages are transmitted and distributed in space for the control distance and people
How does the definition of communication relate to Carey’s discussion of “transmission” views of communication.
-In my definition I mention that communication is a process where information shared for the purpose to other receive it.
-Similarly to Cary’s transmission view communication involves a process where messages are utilized by others
What is the Cary’s Ritual view?
The Means of creating and sustaining social bonds and shared meanings within a community
How does the definition of communication relate to Carey’s discussion of “Ritual” views of communication.
- My definition of Communication is similar to the ritual view since I mentioned the importance of other which can create a sense of community
“In your view, what is the relationship between communication theory and everyday life?”
Communication theory gives different perspectives into interactions and how they can compare and contrast. For example you can look at an interaction using the framework in one tradition and it can provide explanation while another framework might have a different explanation for that interaction.
