memory recall isn’t an exact replica of what was experienced, schemas affect the way we recall information. e.g. all port and postman

recall of episodic memory is reliant on context. eye witnesses are asked to recall situation in police stations instead of at the scene of the crime. godden and baddeley also support as recall was better in the place where it was learnt
