What are the disadvantages of cognitive interviews?
time consuming, no standard procedure, specialist training needed, Milne and bull found some aspects are more important then others, Kohnken found that whilst there was a 81% increase in correct information given there was also a 61% increase in incorrect information
What are the advantages of CIs?
Kohnken found that enhanced CIs consistently provided more accurate information then regular police interviews, therefore areal life benefits
