Can the EOOW change the plant alignment?
A
No, unless plant alignment changes are in the Night Orders, the EOOW requires CO permission.

What are 5 Required Reports to the CO?
A
- Conflicts between standing and night orders.
- Any system degradation that affects the ship’s ability to support any mission area (i.e. loss of GTM).
- Injury or damage to personnel and equipment, and any status changes.
- Fuel Oil, or Potable water levels drop below 60%.
- Refusal to relieve the watch.

What are 10 required CO permission items?
A
- Allowing personnel (military or civilian) to enter tanks or voids.
- Changes to the propulsion or electric configuration.
- By passing, defeating, or disabling any system interlocks.
- Energizing equipment after damage, or suspected sabotage.
- Entering a training team environment.
- Removal of any closure that affects water tight integrity.
- Single valve protection for any system with over 150PSI or over 200*F.
- Activation of bilge sprinklers in any case other than an emergency.
- Extending stay times of watchstanders under a heat stress environment.
- Working on energized equipment.
- Pumping bilges or dumping trash in prohibited zones.
- Opening any access to MRG or violating integrity of L/O system.
- Testing main engines that will roll the shafts.
- Transferring F/O or L/O.
- Activating battle override.
- Entering into RMD.
