welk chapter is dissociation
chapter 8
wat is er met dit hoofdstuk

welke soorten syndromen van dissociation
- dissociative identity syndrome
- dissociative amnesia
- depersonalization/derealization syndrome
wat is het lastige aan dissociation
komt bij heel veel syndromen voor (ptss, andere syndromen), maar als het als primaire symptoom is dan kijk je naar dit hoofdstuk
dissociative identity syndrome A =
disruption of identity characterized by 2 or more distinct personality states (some cultures: possesion).
marked discontinuity in sense of self and sense of agency, accompanied by related alterations in affect, behaviour, consciousness, memory, perception, cognition and/or sensory motor functioning.
signs may be observed by others or by the individual
dissociation=
a state of mind in which you are dissociated with some other aspect of yourself
dissociative identity syndrome B=
recurrent gaps in the recall of everyday events, important personal information and/or traumatic events that are inconsistent with ordinary forgetting
wat is het verschil met ‘normale’ dissociatie (dat je bijv. anders bent bij je moeder dan bij je vrienden)
the sense of continuity: you also feel connected between these moment
in DIS: this continuity is completely disrupted (start to talk with a different voice, speaking about experiences that have never been told, and behaving other ways).
dissociative amnesia A=
an inability to recall important autobiographical information, usually of a traumatic or stressful nature, that is inconsistent with ordinary forgetting
waar komt dissociative amnesia vaak bij voor
in dissociative identity disorder
depersonalization/derealization A=
the presence of persistent or recurrent experiences of depersonalization, derealisation or both
depersonalization =
experiences of unreality, detachment, or being an outside observer with respect to one’s thoughts, feelings, sensations, body or actions
- perceptual alterations
- distorted sense of time
- unreal or absent self
- emotional and physical numbing
voorbeelden depersonalisation
- not recognizing self in mirror
- feeling like hands were bigger or smaller than usual
- feeling like you are 2 different people, one going through the motions of life and the other observing
- feeling that part of your body is disconnected from the rest
- feeling like a part of your body dissapears or is unreal
derealization =
experiences of unreality or detachment with respect to surroundings
- individuals/objects are experienced as unreal
- dreamlike
- foggy
- lifeless
- visually distorted
depersonalization/derealization B=
during the experiences, reality testing remains intact (dus het is geen hallucinatie of delusie), people will not see things that are not there or have strange ideas about the world
