atrophy is when unused bones decrease in size. and hyperotrophy is when bones enlarge, such as when they have increased weight for an extended period of time

a reduction in the quantity of bones

injury to medial border of long thoracic nerve causs the scapula to move laterally and posteriorly away from the thoracic wall. when the arms raised the medial and inferior angle of the scapula pull markedly away from the posterior thoracic wall.
