Brachial Plexus Flashcards
Whats the innervatino for the dorsal scapular nerve?
Rhomboids occassionally supplies the levator scap
Whats the origin of the dorsal scapula?
Posterior aspect of c5 with frequent contribution from c4
Long thoracic origin
Posterior aspect of anterior rami of c5,c6,c7
What structures are innervated by the long thoracic nerve?
Serratus anterior
Whats the origin of the suprascapular nerve?
C5, c6 and often c4
Whats the innervation of the suprascapular nerve?
Supraspinatous and infraspinatous muscles; glenohumeral (shoulder) joint
Whats the origin for the subclavian nerve?
Superior trunk, recieving fibers from c5, c6 and often c4
Whats the innervation of the subclavian nerve?
Subclavius and sternocoavicular joint
Whats the origin of the lateral pectoral nerve?
Side branch of lateral cord, recoeving fibers from c5, c6, c7
Whats the innervation of the lateral pectoral nerve?
Primary pectoralis major, but some lateral pectoral merve fibers pass to pactorakis minor via branch to medial pectoral nerve
Whats the origin of the musculocuntaneuous?
The terminal branches of c5-c7
Whats the innervation of the musculatenous?
Muscles of anterior compartment of arm
Whats the origin of the median?
Lateral root of median nerves is a terminal branch of lateral cord (c6, c7) fibers; median root of median nerve is a terminal branch of median cord (c8, T1 fibers)
Whats the innervation of the median?
Muscles of anterior forearm compartnment , five intrinsic muscles thenar half of palm and palmar skin
Whats the origin of medial pectoral?
Side branches of medial cord of C8, t1
