classical conditioning Flashcards
1
Q
Phase 1: before conditioning
A
NS produces no relevant response; UCS elicits the UCR.
2
Q
Phase 2: during conditioning
A
NS is repeatedly paired with the UCS to produce the UCR.
must happen close together and NS happens before UCS.
3
Q
Phase 3: after conditioning
A
NS becomes CS; CS produces a CR, which is usually similar to the UCR.
4
Q
classical conditioning
A
In Classical Conditioning we learn that 2 events go together after we experience them together on a number of occasions.
5
Q
stimulus
A
any event that produces a response
6
Q
response
A
a reaction by an organism to a stimulus
