Q

Process of vesicle-membrane fusion?

A

SNARE proteins mediate vesicle fusion

  • v-SNARE= Synaptobrevin= VAMP
  • t-SNARE=SNAP-25
  • These two come together to form core SNARE complex
    • bring vesicle and presynaptic membranes into close contact
  • Synaptotagmin- Ca sensor triggers fusion
