Circulation of GI system (arteries and veins etc) Flashcards
what arteries supply foregut, midgut and hindgut?
1) Foregut= Celiac trunk =>SLC
2) Midgut= Superior mesenteric =>MRI
3) Hindgut = Inferior mesenteric =>LeSS
What does the Superior mesenteric artery supply ?
where does it arise from ?
(4)
- Arises from the posterior neck of pancreas
- Supplies the SI, ascending colon + 2/3 of transverse colon
What does the inferior mesenteric supply ?
4
1- left 1/3 of Transverse colon
2- Descending colon
3-Sigmoid colon
4- Rectum
What does the celiac trunk supply ?
1) Stomach
2) Liver
3) Pancreas
4) Spleen
5) First part of duodenum
superior mesenteric artery branches
3
Middle colic artery
Right colic artery
Illeocollic artery
Branches of the inferior mesenteric artery
(3)
LeSS
le sigsure
Left Colic Artery
Sigmoid Artery
Superior Rectal artery
Coelliac trunk branches
CSL
1) Common hepatic artery
2) Splenic artery
3) Left gastric artery
Abdominal aorta branches
CSI
branches
T12 => through the diaphagram = inferior phrenic
- Coelliac trunk ( splenic , left gastric , common hepatic artery)
L1= Superior mesenteric : Jejunal arteries, Illeal arteries, inferior pancreaticoduodenal, Middle colic and right Collic , = loop is completed by illeocollic artery
L2= renal arteries = inferior suprarenal and gonadal arteries
L3=Inferior mesenteric = L. colic artery, Sigmoid branches, Superior rectal artery
L4= paired lumbar arteries , bifurcation of aorta to become the common iliac arteries
Blood Supply to the stomach
Splenic artery splits into 2 and supplies the stomach
=> short gastric arteries
=> left gastroepiploic ,
Branches of the common hepatic artery
PGR
1-Proper hepatic
2-Gastroduodenal —>Right gastroepiploic and Superior pancreatic duodenal
3-Right Gastric
where does a) the vena cava perforate the diaphragm b) oesophagus c)Aortic hiatus (3)
Remember
T8 = 8 letters= VENA CAVA
T10= 10 Letters= OESOPHAGUS
T12=12 Letters= AORTIC HIATUS
blood supply to the omentum
gastroepiploic artery
