dickens uses tiny tim to show how poverty can lead to nsuffering and death. if scrooge hadnt helped the cratchits then tim wouldve died
cratchits children are hard working
dickens uses the cratchits to show that poverty was not linked to laziness as he shows the cratchits willingness to work
