7 to 21 days
What symptoms do women typically experience?
- Asymptomatic
- Vaginal discharge, dysuria,
- If spreads to fallopian tubes - fever, abdominal pain, low back pain, nausea, pain during intercourse, bleeding between periods
What symptoms do men typically experience?
- Penile discharge, dysuria, pain or pruritus around meatus
- Rectal pain and discharge bleeding (male to male sex)
Who can develop oral chlamydia? Men, women, or both?
Both
Symptoms of Chlamydia are similar to symptoms of ?
Gonorrhea
What is the preferred method of testing for Chlamydia?
NAAT (Nucleic Acid Amplification Test) - high specificity and sensitivity

What is the treatment for Chlamydia?
Azithromycin (single dose) or doxycycline (1 week course)

PID, ectopic pregnancy, infertility
