indicates discomfort when wet or soiled. Has regular bowel movements

can briefly sit on the toilet with supervision

urinates with regularity
Child development: toileting at 2.5 years:
achieves regulated toileting with occasional daytime accidents. Rarely has bowel accidents. Tells someone that s/he needs to use the bathroom. May need reminders to go to the bathroom and may need help getting on the toilet.
Child development: toileting at 3 years:
Goes to the bathroom independently. May need help with wiping and clothing fasteners.
Child development: toileting at 4-5 years:
develops independence in toileting
